Chiropractic Techniques

Our chiropractors use chiropractic methods taught in accredited colleges and are up-to-date; they will select appropriate techniques for making corrections to the spine and subluxations based on patients’ conditions and needs. Safety comes first.

Dr. Ng & Dr. Liew (Doctors of Chiropractic*) customize their techniques to the needs of every patient but their main technique is adapted primarily from the Koren Specific Technique (KST)~.

Below are short clips showing examples of KST adjustment sessions at our clinic:

Dr. Ng & Dr. Liew use a complete system of spinal analysis that includes the use of X-rays (optional and only if clinically necessary), a unique x-ray analysis, and very safe, effective adjustments, that do not involve “popping” and “cracking”. The aim of the adjustments is to correct the cause of the problem and not just provide pain or discomfort relief.

Our doctors are also trained in the following chiropractic techniques:img_0990683x1024

  • Pierce
  • Thompson
  • Diversified
  • Gonstead
  • Activator
  • SOT
  • Webster^
  • Logan Basic
  • Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR)#

* Our chiropractors graduated with a post-graduate and professional degree, which is not a medical or dental qualification

~ Dr. Ng & Dr. Liew are the only KST-trained chiropractors in Singapore listed in the KST Directory. Dr. Ng most recently mentored at the KST Seminar in Taiwan.

KST is a healing protocol used to locate and correct/release areas of blockage, distortion, subluxation, interference, stagnation and other stresses in the body/mind. KST is used to improve body function, promote natural healing, release physical & emotional stresses and works well with any healing art.

^Dr. Ng & Dr. Liew are both certified in the Webster Technique and trained in pediatric chiropractic care. The webster technique is defined as a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces interference to the nerve system and facilitates biomechanical balance in pelvic structures, muscles and ligaments. This has been shown to reduce the effects of intrauterine constraint in pregnant women, allowing the baby to get into the best possible position for birth.

#Dr. Liew is the only FAKTR-certified provider in Singapore.
