What is Chiropractic?

chirocadesusThe purpose of chiropractic care is to restore and maintain the proper relationship between the spine and the nervous system. The bones of our spine are designed to protect the spinal cord and spinal nerves. Through daily activities, these bones can move out of place causing an interference to the nerves’ ability to carry messages from the brain to the cells and organs of the body. When this happens, “vertebral subluxation” is said to have happened.

When vertebral subluxation happens, messages between the brain and the body parts are interfered and the body will NOT be able to experience its optimal level of health.

Vertebral subluxation can be caused by any forces that the body is unable to adapt to. These include physical factors such as motor vehicle accidents, falls, sports activities, the birth process, emotional stress, chemical imbalances, repetitive movements and many more. Vertebral subluxations can happen and every so often occur to children and adults and can be harmful.

Using a safe and gentle nudge called chiropractic adjustment, a chiropractor corrects and restores the proper relationship between the spine and the nervous system.

Our chiropractors’ goal of providing chiropractic care is one and one only, that is to remove nerve interference in one’s body so that the body can express its maximum potential for health.
